Amanda Valerio-Esene is an associate in the Litigation Department. She focuses on complex commercial litigation and white collar matters, as well as internal corporate investigations and compliance counseling.

EXPERIENCE

Amanda’s notable representations include:

  • A major technology company in favorably settling a class action brought for breach of contract relating to manufacturing of consumer electronics;
  • A multinational hedge fund and financial services company in connection with due diligence and advice on compliance and regulatory matters, including antitrust, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions issues;
  • A global asset management firm in connection with third-party and transactional anti-corruption and reputational diligence in the Middle East; and
  • Ohio governmental entities in a class action brought against their insurance provider for breach of contract and fraud claims.

In pro bono matters, Amanda has represented plaintiffs in federal and state court, including the last abortion clinic in Mississippi in Jackson Women’s Health Organization v. Dobbs, and she has filed amicus briefs in nine federal appellate courts in constitutional and Voting Rights Act cases.

Amanda has served as co-chair of the Public Service Committee for the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia and on the Young Lawyers Committee of the Washington, D.C., Chapter of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF).

Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Amanda worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

At Georgetown University Law Center, Amanda was executive editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
